Author Portraits for Amanda Richardson

I recently shot some new author portraits for Amanda Richardson at her gorgeous Yorkshire home.

Amanda writes dark romance, so we wanted the shoot to reflect that slightly moody, whimsical feel that runs through her books, while also creating brighter portraits she can use for PR, interviews, and press features.

Shooting at her own house made everything feel really personal and relaxed. We kept things natural and story-led rather than overly styled, creating a mix of darker portraits alongside softer, more approachable imagery.

I always love shoots like this because it’s less about creating a character and more about capturing someone in a way that actually feels like them.
