Studio Portraits with model Htet

Recently, I welcomed model Htet into my studio for a portfolio shoot, working through a mix of fashion and portrait photography with a slightly darker, editorial feel.

We kept the styling fairly simple, building different looks around leather jackets, denim, tailoring and a few statement pieces, including Htet’s trusty motorcycle helmet. The idea was to create a varied set of images that showed different sides of Htet, from more relaxed portraits to something a little more fashion-led.

Lighting played quite a big part in shaping the different looks. We moved between darker, moodier setups with plenty of contrast and cleaner studio portraits, mixing colour with black and white along the way.

Take a look at some of our favourites from the shoot!
